Our mission is to cultivate
relationships in the business community that promote the use of Electronic Commerce
(EC) by sharing experience, exchanging ideas, informing and educating in ways that will aid
companies and individuals in the implementation and growth of EC.
Electronic Commerce is the exchange of information electronically which includes the
exchange of documents related to buying and selling of products and services between
companies. EDI or Electronic Data Interchange is a core piece of Electronic Commerce
in that it allows for the exchange of this information utilizing established standards and
guidelines. Electronic Commerce encompasses a broader spectrum of data exchanges and transmission mediums.
The Virginia eCommerce Forum operates from Richmond, Virginia and welcomes members and guests
from the worldwide business community. Each year we have several presentation meetings
and an EC EXPO Vendor Fair. We are in our eleventh year and 40 - 80 people attend each
breakfast or lunch time meeting. Join us to learn more about EC and to share your EC
knowledge with the business community.
